Celebrating Diwali is a favourite time of the year, being able to eat lots of food and spend time with family. Making loads of snacks and sweets for the lead up to and the day itself is key!
These sweet little biscuits that use ghee and various flours, are a childhood favourite, Any special occasion, these would be baking!
Pre-heat the oven to 180C
In a large bowl beat the ghee and sugar until fluffy. Add flours, semolina, baking powder and spices
Mix into a dough and make small balls – about walnut sized and flatten very slightly before baking
Place on a greased lined baking tray, leaving enough space between them
Bake for about 7-8 minutes
Take the biscuits out and place almonds and pistachio in the centre, return to the oven and bake further 7-8 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack, and enjoy once cooled!
