Ingredients

  • 50 ml Sainsbury's superior white rum
  • 25 ml juice from limes by Sainsbury's, freshly squeezed, plus 1 wedge to garnish
  • 15 ml sugar cane syrup
  • 10 leaves of mint by Sainsbury's, plus 1 mint sprig to garnish
  • 6 ice cubes, crushed
  • 1 bottle soda water by Sainsbury's, to top up

Method

    Pour the rum, lime juice and sugar cane syrup into a highball glass.

    Take the mint leaves in one hand and clap your other hand onto them, then add to the glass.

  3. 3

    Fill the glass with crushed ice then, using a spoon, pull the ingredients up from the bottom of the glass and stir until combined.

    Top with soda and garnish with a lime wedge and a mint sprig.

     

    Top tip: clapping the mint leaves between your hands (as directed in step 2) will release the essential oils, adding delicious flavour to the mojito.
