This original recipe has stood the test of time. It was created when Dallas socialite Margarita Sames mixed her two favourite spirits, Cointreau and tequila, together with lime juice while on vacation back in 1948.
Garnish a rocks glass with a salt rim.
In a shaker, pour 30ml Cointreau, 50ml tequila and 20ml fresh lime juice.
Add ice and shake.
Strain into your glass over ice and garnish with lime
