It feels naughty eating chocolate first thing in the morning, but as this uses raw cacao powder (which contains no refined sugars or dairy), you needn't worry. You can also add a couple of pieces of dark chocolate or some sliced banana on top
Pour the oats and milk into a microwaveable bowl and mix together. Microwave on high for one minute.
Remove from the microwave. Stir in the cacao powder and add the orange zest. Mix together well and microwave for a further two minutes.
If the oats haven’t completely absorbed the milk after three minutes, microwave for an additional 30-60 seconds. If the porridge is too dry, add a splash more milk to the bowl, stir and leave to settle for a minute. Top with the fresh berries and pumpkin seeds for some added crunch.
