While you’re making this lovely autumnal blackberry and apple purée, you could make a crumble for the rest of the family, too
Peel and chop the apples into small pieces and put in a saucepan. Add the blackberries and 50ml water, and simmer gently for 10 mins or until the fruit is soft. Purée until smooth, or mash with a fork.
