Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C/160 degrees C fan/gas mark 3, and line a baking tray
Cream together the butter and golden caster sugar until pale and fluffy using either a hand whisk or stand mixer with the paddle attachment
Add the eggs, vanilla extract and peanut butter and beat together
In a separate bowl mix the flour and baking powder together
Slowly add this to the wet ingredients, mixing gently between each addition
Fold in the peanuts, pecans and chocolate chips
Separate the dough in half and create two 12-inch-long logs, laying both on the baking tray, and bake for 25 minutes
Remove from the oven and allow the logs to cool for 10-15 minutes
Carefully slice each of the logs into 12 equal segments widthways
Lay each slice on its side on the baking tray and place in the oven for a further 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven once golden and allow to cool. Enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee - delicious!
