Animal bread rolls
An edible version of playing with modelling clay, making these animal bread rolls is a great idea for a rainy Sunday afternoon with the children

Ingredients
- 250g wholemeal bread mix
- 250g white bread mix
- 175g mature cheddar, grated
- 1 tbsp flour, for dusting
- 1 tbsp raisins
- 1 medium egg, beaten

Make up the bread according to the instructions on the packets. Preheat the oven to 200ºC/fan 180ºC/gas mark 6.

Mix the cheese into the dough and divide the dough into 12 pieces. Dust a surface with the flour and shape the dough into animals, using raisins for eyes.

Place all the animals on a floured baking sheet. Cover loosely with a clean, damp tea towel. Set aside to rise for 15 minutes. Brush with the beaten egg and bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.
