Named after the Japanese word for raw, this West London haunt is 100% meat, wheat, dairy and gluten-free, as well as being organic and unprocessed – everything is cooked below 42 degrees.
You may think that this all sounds utterly joyless but just take a moment to peruse the menu and you’ll change your mind. We’re talking courgette and walnut-base pizzas with pesto, veg, macadamia parmesan and micro herbs, courgetti dishes and mocha cheesecake.

So, this is where you go when you want a bevvy as they serve super-food cocktails, made with organic alcohol and fresh cold-pressed juices.
Tuck into cheesy kale chips, nachos made from sweetcorn, buckwheat gnocchi and raw chocolates for the raw, plant-based way to do a night out.

The sister restaurant of the Californian-inspired hangout Hally’s, this is all about clean living. It’s small, so a good place to grab and go.
Breakfast is a chia-seed-and-almond-milk-pots kind of affair, while lunch is a spread of changing salads served with grilled chicken, poached salmon or marinated tofu, and daily soups served with rye or gluten-free bread.

The menu may be small and the queues long at one of Deliciously Ella’s favourite healthy haunts, but the dishes are pretty creative.
The focus here is on raw cooking (they claim to serve the best raw veggie burger in town) but there are some above body temperature dishes too if you’re in the mood for something warmer.
Vegans are well catered for and Monmouth coffee and organic wines are also available, which means you could easily spend a sunny afternoon perched at one of their much sought after tables. Oh, and throw in one of their raw chocolate pralines for good measure, too.

Scandinavians have seduced most parts of our lives: design, TV shows, Sarah Lund-style jumpers and their simple, healthy eating. This West London cafe, with their smørrebrød (an open rye sandwich of cured salmon, fennel pollen and marinated herring) is pure Nordic nourishment.

This place isn’t just about detox salads and green juices (although they do serve these, too) and that’s why the queues are long – you have been warned. This Chelsea joint does everything from breakfast through to lunch to pudding. Dishes include paleo chestnut and almond waffles, open salmon and avocado sandwiches on wheat-free toast, summer bone broth and peanut butter cups.
Well, it’s all in the name really isn’t it?
