We round up the best foodie events happening in London this week
The long weekend is nearly over – but that's not a bad thing. This week is packed full of exciting foodie things to do. Here's what's going on starting Monday 4 May. (And may the fourth be with you – today is officially World Star Wars Day.)
Blow the bank
Perhaps the most outrageous pop up of them all. Dom Pérignon is launching a 10-day Les 3 Étages by Dom Pérignon pop up taking place over three floors at a secret Grade II listed Georgian townhouse near Holborn from 9-10 May. A series of parties and intimate dinners will allow guests to sample a different vintage of champagne on each floor. Of course.
Groundbreaking theatre company Punchdrunk is celebrating the limited edition Andy Warhol Absolut bottle, with an experimental new game. Download the game to start playing and unlocking secret destinations around London as you go.
We've seen it all: cereal cafes, owl cafes, and now a restaurant dedicated to making grilled cheese sandwiches. The Melt Room in Soho opens its doors this week. We wanted to complain about the price (£5 is the cheapest) but we took one bite and we were sold.
This week we're all about nut-free food, like this amazing blueberry and lemon cheesecake brownie.
Asparagus is officially in season! Here are some fantastic recipes to celebrate, or go old school and eat them with your fingers and covered in butter. Perfect.
