Dine at the top of BT Tower

The ballot has just opened for a chance to dine at the top of the BT Tower. To celebrate 50 amazing years, the BT Tower will reopen its restaurant, closed since 1980, for two weeks only. Head over here to be in with a chance to win, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory-style, but hurry! The ballot closes on Monday.

Imagine enjoying a Fortnum and Mason picnic hamper, 800ft above the city, on the 72nd floor of The Shard. That's what's on offer at the Sky-High Tea Experience, running from today right through the summer. The 72nd floor even has an open-air deck and tickets are from £85 for two people

Yes! An ice-cream festival! It's happening at Old Spitalfield's Market from Friday 26 June through to Sunday 28 June. The very best gelato-makers from all over the world descend on London to compete for the grand title of 'best ice-cream maker' and you decide. A gelato card costs £10 and gets you five free scoops, plus another free scoop when you hand in your voting card. Better get in training for making that all important decision. We'll see you there! Gelato cards £10, or you can just rock up and sample to your heart's content.

London's first poached egg cafe

Where else but Dalston. And inside a vintage shop, of course. Foxcroft and Ginger will be bringing their poached egg cafe, which opens Friday 26 June, to the back of Beyond Retro on Stoke Newington Road. Sounds like another woeful hipster pop-up, except they claim they've found the perfect egg consistency by poaching them 'sous-vide' at exactly 63 degrees for an hour. OK, we're tempted.

Get down to the burger festival

The kids at twentysomething have painstakingly put together the ultimate 'top 10 best burgers' list. They've eaten every burger in London (probably) and found the winner: Wild Game Co.'s veni moo. Now on Saturday 27 June, six of the best will be together in one place for the ultimate burger festival. From 12pm. Tickets from £35 for five sliders.
