Iced flower cookies

Ideally, you'd roll the cookie dough very thin for these delicate flower biscuits – but we're sure Mum won't notice if they're a bit chunky!

This superb cake contains orange juice, orange zest and yogurt to make the sponge extra tasty and moist. Present it to Mum on a pretty cake stand, too – we love this one from Sainsbury's with its stylish scalloped edge.

Butterfly fairy cakes

Fairy cakes are a bit smaller and often less sugary than their American cupcake counterparts. Heart-shaped measuring spoons (available from Sainsbury's) aren't just useful for baking – they make a great gift alongside your cakes for Mum, too.

Decorating tip: Bake your fairy cakes in floral cupcakes cases, then dip the "wings" in buttercream and princess sprinkles by Sainsbury's. Adorable!

Bumblebee & flower biscuits

You'll need a steady hand to decorate these cute bumblebee biscuits! Give to Mum in a little box, along with a jar of Taste the Difference orange blossom honey. Younger children can help make the flower biscuits too.

Decorating tip: Use black writing icing pens by Sainsbury's for your bumblebee biscuits rather than a piping bag. It's much easier!
