The best tasting flora you'll ever receive
First we gave you bacon roses, now we're back and this time with an even sweeter creation. Yes, they're quite fiddly to make but just think of the ear-to-ear grins when you present someone you love with this bunch of sweets.
To make 6 roses, you'll need:
- About 6 or 7 Starburst sweets per rose (a lot of packets, then)
- A mircowave
- The stems of a bunch of fake flowers, or some green candy pencils, or some cupcakes
- Rolling pin (optional)
Place your chosen colours of Starburst (most of them are white, FYI) on a plate in the microwave and blast on high for 5-8 seconds.
Once they're soft, place two sweets on top of each other and flatten into a long tongue shape using your hands or a rolling pin.
… and roll into a tight tube shape to form the centre of your rose.
To form the petals, flatten one sweet at a time into an oval shape and pinch at the bottom (cheeky).
… then stick your pinched petal to the rose bud.
Keep layering your petals until they're bushy enough to be called a rose.
… and repeat.
While the sweets are still warm, pierce onto your flower stems, or place on top of cupcakes for a super cute birthday treat for someone really great.
