Meet the prima doners of the kebab world. Boom!

Another day, another strange foodie awards ceremony.

In the doom and gloom of January diets and endless liquidised dinners, the 2015 British Kebab Awards is a welcome addition.

No, we’re not talking about those down-and-dirty gods of all good nights out, but the succulent wondrousness of a proper 'bab.

After all, a good kebab is a wonderful thing – even Heston Blumenthal and Yotam Ottolenghi have spoken of their love of the dish (meaning: it's acceptable).

With more than 2,000 kebab shops entered across 14 categories to be judged by a panel of 19 (including Labour MP Keith Vaz, Tory Nadhim Zahawi and restaurateur James Breslaw) this was serious stuff.

So, who makes the best cigars of seasoned lamb in the UK? Drum roll please ...
