The Twitterati unite to take a stand against serving food on arbitrary objects with #WeWantPlates

The flowerpot and slate backlash has begun.

If you’ve ever been served hummus in a mini wheelbarrow, chips in a tiny trolley or croquettes in a pair of Converse (yes, really), then you need @wewantplates in your life.

The latest worthy Twitter campaign is crusading against the anti-plate trend, with We Want Plates calling for a return to that trusty china.

And it seems we all agree as the Twitter account has gathered nearly 5,000 fans since it was set up last week.

Behold the best tweets from those who are in total agreement.
