A grape has undergone pioneering reconstructive surgery after suffering from a peeling accident – and it’s surprisingly cute

Breaking news: two tiny robot arms have stitched the skin back onto a grape and somebody filmed it. You read that right.

Using the same technology designed to help perform minimally invasive surgery on humans, the da Vinci Surgery captured the moment a robotic arm restored a red grape back to its former glory.

While it looks more in keeping with a scene out of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, reports suggest that the grape is recovering well.

Phew.

Guys, the future is now.
