Wrap your head around this

Next time you're in the mood for some old-school tunes, don't bother getting a vinyl record. Just raid the kitchen larder instead.

Someone at Rapture Records had the genius idea to laser-cut tortillas to see if they would play music in a record player.

And they did! Those fabulous tortillas played tunes including the Macarena, The Mexican Hat Dance and Puttin' On The Ritz.

Now, this doesn't work with your average tortilla – cooked ones tend to shred while corn ones are too lumpy. The ones that are just right? Canasta flour tortillas, according to Instructables.

Bonus: the tortillas are still edible afterwards.

Is it the best sound we've ever heard? Far from it. Tortillas should probably stick to their day jobs.

Pass the burrito, please.
