Dream job alert.

If you fancy working in a “kitchen the size of a closet”, you don’t mind rubbish pay and you hate eggs benedict, then we're here to brighten up your week. We've found the perfect job for you in Scotland.

A soon-to-be restaurateur called Justin has posted a brilliantly sarcastic advert to GumTree (which went viral and was subsequently taken down, sadly) and it’s the most hilariously honest job spec we’ve seen.

Justin wants to open an US-style diner offering breakfast and sandwiches but says, “If your idea of a good sandwich is a tuna mayo like your gran makes then please don’t bother responding.

“Seriously. Last time I was hiring for a place I got over 400 CVs. You know how long it takes to read 400 CVs? Too damned long. So don’t waste anyone’s time.”

OK then.

So what’s the sarcastic recruiter looking for?

Well, he needs a second-in-command to “bang out a ton of semi-fancy food in a kitchen the size of a closet".

If that wasn’t enough to tempt you, he also admits that the money is not good and warns: “Don’t ask for more because I don’t have it. You’ll literally be making more than me because I’m essentially working for free.”

He also adds that if you “have no idea” what harissa, haggis, mussels, a dehydrator and kimchi are then “PLEASE, don’t apply for this job". Well, we agree with him on this point.

Are there any upsides? Sort of. The fiery chef added: “I will listen to your ideas and try your weird suggestions, but if I don’t love it we’re not doing it and that’s that.”

Gordon Ramsay eat your heart out.
