Interiors inspiration from Marge and Homer? Sure

Could you be tempted into decorating your kitchen with corn-on-the-cob patterned curtains, lurid green counters and a million shades of pastel? No?

Then you're probably not a Simpsons superfan.

One couple who do think that stealing style tips from Marge are Marcia Andreychuk and Joel Hamilton from Calgary in Canada, who are currently in the process of transforming the most important room of their home into a carbon copy of that seen in favourite TV show.

Speaking to CBC Newsthe pair explain how what started as a chat about a potential refit rapidly spiralled out of control – and into a mad web search for fabrics and utilities to replicate the domestic set-up of America's most famous family.

They are such lovers of the show that every winter they play every episode ever made, (someone send them a Breaking Bad box set), and they reckon that their next project might just be to transform their basement into Moe's Tavern.

Now there's an idea we could get on board with.

So, The Simpsons' kitchen. Super-fandom gone too far? Or funny enough to warrant it? Let us know in the comments below.
