It comes in pastel colours too so you can liven up your plate
When it comes to ridiculous food inventions, you haven't seen them all.
Not until you check out the 'stoplight chicken' from Mexicana Chicken in Korea.
For starters, it's red, yellow and green (that's how it got its catchy name).
Even wilder? The boneless chicken pieces are coated in strawberry, banana and melon powder.
Despite its obvious appeal (kidding, of course), the fruity fried chicken hasn't blown over the locals with many criticising the new release online and posting negative mukbang – eating broadcast – videos, where they chow down on food while chatting to an audience about the dish.
We're pretty sure this crazy food creation is what the phrase 'forbidden fruit' should refer to.
