Called the Scoff-ee cup, it's made of white chocolate and biscuit but won't fall apart before you finish your coffee. Genius
Coffee lovers rejoice. Chocolate lovers rejoice.
KFC have unveiled the UK’s first-ever edible coffee cup and it's made out of biscuits and chocolate. Oh sweet lord.
Resembling the chain’s normal cups, these munchable mugs are made from biscuit wrapped in sugar paper and lined with a layer of heat-resistant white chocolate.
They're designed to keep the coffee hot while the biscuit cup remains crispy. In time the inner layer of chocolate will melt and as it does the biscuit slowly softens to a melt-in-the-mouth consistency, but the cup won't disintegrate in your hand (unless you're a particularly slow coffee drinker). Genius.
Created in partnership with food scientists The Robin Collective, a spokesperson said: “Not only do the edible cups taste amazing, but they smell delicious too.
“We’ve infused different cups with a variety of ambient aromas including coconut sun cream, freshly cut grass and wild flowers.
“These scents were used in our recipes as they have a natural ability to evoke positive memories we associate with warm weather, sunshine and summer holidays. Things that make everyone smile.”
We reckon an edible white chocolate cup after your coffee might do the job pretty well on its own.
Sadly the Scoff-ee cup is still in development but we’ve heard whispers that it will be rolled out to stores in the summer. *Marks date in diary*
