BREAKING: Americans don't know what sausage rolls are. 

 

We're being serious. The New York Times has tweeted out a recipe for the pastry wonders, describing them as "like pigs in a blanket, but so much better". (NB: in further sacrilege, in the US the Christmas treat is sausages wrapped in a sort of overly hard pastry case. Bizarre.)
