If you share your name with the new royal baby, it’s free pizza time
Unless you’ve been living under a blanket of melted cheese, you’ll know that we’ve got ourselves a new princess: Charlotte Elizabeth Diana.
Yesterday, Pizza Hut decided to mark the birth of the second royal baby by announcing a handful of its restaurants will give free grub to people called Charlotte.
Let them eat pizza indeed.
The first 100 Charlottes through the doors of Pizza Hut in The Strand in London, Kirkstall Road in Leeds, Liverpool One, Hanover Street in Edinburgh and The Trafford Centre in Manchester will be given a free meal.
After the news broke, the Liverpool One branch was inundated with hungry Charlottes looking for some pizza. Manager Anthony Murray told the Liverpool Echo: “They are loving it. People are coming in and laughing about it. The phone hasn’t stopped ringing since it was announced by head office.”
While we can’t guarantee that there are any pizzas left, if you’re called Charlotte remember to take some identification with you to prove that you’re not just any Tom, Dick or Harry.
As you can imagine, the Twittersphere has got very excited.
