Top chefs compete with bread to raise money for Action Against Hunger – and you're invited
Is there a great big sponge-and-sugar shaped void in your life? Us too – the first couple of post-Bake Off weeks are always the hardest.
But we might just have a remedy for all that pain. A line up of top chefs, headed by Duck & Waffle's Dan Doherty, are working themselves up for a bread baking contest entitled Eat, Bake Love, all in aid of Action Against Hunger.
Sunday 8 November will see cooks including José Pizarro, Alyn Williams, Glynn Purnell, Steven Burgess and Steve Groves bake up something delicious at Mayfair, London restaurant Beast, before guests select their favourite dish from their offerings.
The winner will develop a bread that will be sold nationally by The Bread Factory, with all profits donated to the charity.
And in the meantime? Why not give this insanely delicious red onion focaccia a go?
