Let’s take a moment before we go any further to pray to the chocolate gods that the chefs at London’s K West Hotel are using last year’s batch of Cadbury’s Creme Eggs, because those fondant filled Easter treats are now masquerading as a burger.

Will the Easter madness never stop?

The mini slider burgers are made with a sweet brioche bun dipped in white chocolate and sprinkled with hundreds and thousands.

Then there’s that juicy burger, or should we say a gooey melted-down Creme Egg.

These sickly patties are then placed on top of a dollop of mascarpone cream with another good dollop of strawberry jelly – as if it wasn’t sounding sweet enough already.

Although small, each burger contains about 530 calories, adding up to 1,060 calories when served as a pair on the dessert or afternoon tea menu – that’s more than half the recommended daily intake for women.

That would make even the Easter bunny's eyes water.

The Creme Egg madness just doesn’t stop – here are some pretty epic things you can do with the Easter treats
