Because Britain has the best tantrum-throwing, hyper-masculine foodies, don't you know
Bradley Cooper has revealed that his intense, hyper-macho recovering addict chef character in new film Burnt is based on a trio of British chefs.
Marcus Wareing (who consulted on set throughout the film), Gordon Ramsay and Marco Pierre White are the precision-orientated workaholics in question – all of whom Cooper studied hard to prepare for the role.
Speaking to Yahoo! Movies, he said: “I created a guy I see as a mixture of the three guys I studied: Marcus Wareing, Gordon Ramsay, and Marco Pierre White … he’s [Adam Jones] a combination. Little things he does, physical things, are basically things I stole from all three of those guys.”
The film, which details a top chef's battle to open an exquisite London restaurant and gain a coveted three Michelin stars, features Cooper actually cooking, backed up by a team of real-life chefs.
Between Cooper's actual kitchen skills and those looks, we think we're a little bit in love.
