Sit down, Victorian week. Move over, cakes. The finest, prettiest and most breathtakingly trickiest week on Bake Off is coming to your screen tonight – and what a treat a full 60 minutes of pâtisserie is set to be.

Genoise sponge filled with coffee buttercream, cream horns and beautifully decorated choux éclairs assembled in gravity-defying fashion are all on the menu, and sure to demonstrate a whole other level of skill.

To get you in the twiddly, pastel and spun-sugar frame of mind, we've hand picked the loveliest Instagram accounts that deliver all of the above.

1. @maitrechoux

So much more than chocolate ganache and whipped cream. These éclair specialists know their way around choux, and with a feed full of their artisan delights (orange and saffron, Tahitian vanilla and roasted pecans, high grade matcha, green apple and yuzu) they'll have you ready for the bakers' delights in no time.

2. @theboywhobakes

This chap won the first ever series of Bake Off and published a cookbook in the fine art of pastry, Patisserie Made Simple: From Macaron to Millefueille and more (Hardcover, RRP £19.99, Kyle Books)  so he's well primed to get you in the spirit. Follow for his own bakes and styling, plus insider information on the best places to head for cake in town.

3. @lily_vanilli_cake

Towering buttercream-laden cakes of dreams are the order of the day at this London bakery. The best part? They snap all their intricate creations and post them to their Instagram account. Sweet.

4. @Bettys1919

Macaroons, fondant fancies and crème pâtissière fruit tarts aplenty, from this quaint North Yorkshire tearoom.

5. @ruby.tandoh

More Bake Off alumni. Ruby's recipes are a masterclass in delicately blended flavours (hello swiss roll with basil-infused coconut custard and raspberry jam). Thankfully, she shoots them too.

6. @topwithcinnamon

A 19-year-old baking wizardess with a knack for the icing sugar-scattered. Warning: this feed will make you want to spend a day in a warm kitchen, spatula in hand, immediately.

7. @thelittleloafblog

All about the homemade, this blogger's 'gram is full of just-baked pâtisserie delights.

8. @minimalistbaker
